Diwali 🪔🪔 🎇 Donation-community outreach
D.A.V Public School, New Panvel every year organises Diwali charity drive . This year also the donation box was kept at school for students and their families to drop off donations. The donation amount was used to spread joy-a core part of the Diwali spirit in the life of underprivileged children and residents of old age homes.
On 16-10-2025 a group of Student council members and teachers of D.A.V Public School, New Panvel visited Karuneshwar Old Age Care House run by Karuneshwar Charitable Trust located in Umroli in Panvel with the objective of spending quality time with the elderly residents. The visit aimed to provide companionship, spread happiness, and foster a sense of social responsibility among the younger generation and also to teach them about compassion and community responsibility. This visit also emphasized the school’s commitment to serving others first. “Service before self" .Students and teachers were warmly greeted by the superintendent and other staff members. Students engaged in conversations with many of the residents who shared stories of their lives and students gained life lessons . Students distributed T shirts , gowns, and nutritious food grains, as a token of affection. It was heart-warming experience.
The students had the opportunity of visiting Balgram Orphanage located in Khanda colony, this visit was organized to spread joy and spend quality time with the marginalized children .Upon their arrival, students were met with a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the children and the caretaker. Students distributed 25 Neelkamal chairs and 4 Neelkamal tables along with nutritious food items which were received with immense joy.
Student council members and teachers of D.A.V Public School, New Panvel also visited Manav Shelter home located in New Panvel to distribute Wholesome food grains to underprivileged children thus ensuring their health and well-being.
Students also distributed 30mattress.The students interacted with the children who shared their aspirations and ambitions. The moment was cherishable as it spread the joy .
The community outreach was also extended to
Ashramschool Chirner, Tal. -Uran, (Navi Mumbai) Dist. Raigad.12 ceiling fans and 2 exhaust fans were distributed along with wholesome food grains. It was indeed delightful moment .
Happiness increases by sharing, so D. A. V. Public School, New Panvel, with the overwhelming support of students and parents brought some happiness in the lives of the underprivileged as a part of the community outreach programme.
