On 16^th October 2024, students from grades VI to VIII participated in Diya Decoration, Toran Making and Lantern Making activity respectively with zeal and endeavour that one usually associates with the festival. The activity was aimed at encouraging students to explore their creativity while learning about the importance of sustainability.

The activity was conducted in the respective classrooms that brought a wave of excitement and happiness in the school. Children crafted beautiful paper lanterns, decorated Diya’s and made Toran from eco- friendly materials using various techniques of folding and cutting. Students presented their ideas in a unique way by using old newspapers, cardboard, recycled plastic and other reusable items to create the toran, lantern and decorate Diya’s.

At the end, respective classrooms were decorated with toran, lantern and beautiful Diya’s by the students. It was a visual treat to see the amazing lanterns and decorative Diya’s. Their artisanship was quite enticing and was much admired by one and all.
