A Cyber Security Workshop was conducted at DAV Public School, New Panvel, on 20 July 2026 for the students of Classes XI and XII. The session was conducted by Police Sub-Inspector Dattatray Wane from the Cyber Crime Department, Khandeshwar Police Station, to create awareness about cyber crime and online safety.

The resource person advised students to verify the identity of unknown callers or messages before sharing personal or financial information, use strong WhatsApp privacy and security settings, install the M-Kavach app to enhance mobile security. Students were also encouraged to report any suspected cyber fraud to the local police or the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.

The workshop concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session. Students asked several interesting questions, including one about the NEET examination paper leakage, which led to a discussion on cyber investigations and the role of law enforcement in such cases.

The session was informative, engaging, and enhanced students' awareness of safe, responsible, and secure digital practices.
