Republic Day Celebration 

In the early hours of 26th January 2026, D.A.V. Public School, New Panvel hosted the 77th Republic Day celebrations on its school ground. It was abundantly attended by the students, parents, teachers, school staff, Hon. Principal & the respected Chief Guest.

The celebration began at 08:00 AM with the respected Chief Guest, Hon. Principal Sumanth Ghosh unfurling the national flag, followed by the singing of the national anthem, Flag Song, DAV Anthem & Maharashtra Geet. March Past was presented by the student council, the respective School Houses, & the school's NCC cadets with great pride.

Next, the tiny tots’ participation in the Shishu Vihar Presentation, & the UKG students’ Performance were well appreciated by the audience. This was followed by a speech on the Significance of Republic Day given by Ranhitha of Class V. The Patriotic Song was performed heart-warmingly by the music students. Trupti Shidhaye Ma’am gave a rousing speech in Sanskrit highlighting the glory & values of our nation. An exciting Taekwondo Demonstration was then witnessed with eagerness by all.

The highlight of the event was a massive Dance Performance by 150 students to commemorate 150 years of Vande Mataram. This was followed by the NCC Rank Upgradation Ceremony, where selected cadets were promoted to the rank of Leading Cadet in recognition of their exemplary efforts.

As the academic year draws to a close, the House Competition was concluded with Nalanda House (Green) being crowned as the Best House, and Vikramshila a close Runners Up. The Hon. Principal Sir and the Chief Guest felicitated the House Captain & members of the winning house.

The Chief Guest Mr. Bhamre, Indian Navy (Retd.) was asked to speak a few words as Parent Reflection on the Republic Day Celebrations, and was thanked for his treasured words & continued support towards our institution.

The Hon. Principal Mr. Sumanth Ghosh addressed the gathering with his inspiring words. He gave very valuable thoughts on this auspicious occasion.

The ceremony concluded with the vote of thanks by Miss. Kriti, followed with the distribution of sweets, leaving everyone with a profound sense of pride and a rejuvenated spirit of patriotism.
