The Inter-House Speech Competition was held on 23rd August 2025 at D.A.V. Public School, New Panvel. The theme of the competition was “Freedom is Not Just a Word – It’s a Responsibility”. The event aimed to instill confidence, develop oratory skills, and encourage students to express their views on patriotism and responsibility towards the nation.

The program began with a warm welcome by the comperers, followed by the introduction of the esteemed judges. The rules and criteria of judgment were explained to the participants and audience. The participants were evaluated on Content & Originality, Relevance to the Theme, Fluency & Pronunciation, Expression & Body Language, and Time Management, with a total of 50 marks.

Enthusiastic participants from all the four houses – Takshashila, Nalanda, Vikramshila, and Ujjain – took part in the competition. Each speaker confidently presented their speech, showcasing their ideas, clarity, and patriotism. The audience applauded after every performance, adding to the spirit of encouragement.

After all the participants delivered their speeches, the judges were invited to share their valuable feedback. They appreciated the confidence, content, and presentation skills of the students while also giving suggestions for further improvement.

Finally, the much-awaited results were announced. The winners were awarded positions of First, Second, Third, and Consolation, bringing pride to their respective houses. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the participants, guidance of teachers, and the valuable time of the judges. Overall, the competition was a resounding success, leaving behind inspiration and motivation for all students to keep honing their speaking skills of the students while also giving suggestions for further improvement.
